How do notaries receive leads?

A customer submits a location, service category and preferred appointment window. A request can be considered for referral only after provider credentials, coverage and written terms have been reviewed. You decide whether to accept the opportunity and confirm the details directly before booking.

Apply: tell us your commissioning state, cities, ZIP codes, travel radius, services and availability.
Complete review: your application is a self-report. Commission status and service authority require separate verification.
Agree terms: review any referral fee and payment timing in writing before receiving assignments.
Confirm the appointment: verify the scope, eligibility, timing and itemized price with the customer.
Report completion: use the provider reporting form and pay only the referral invoice agreed for that job.

Questions about notary referrals

Is this a notary job or employment application?

No. This is an application to an independent referral network. You control your schedule, acceptance and lawful pricing. It is not an offer of employment, an exclusive territory or a guaranteed stream of assignments.

How much does it cost to join?

There is no subscription to apply. Any referral fees, eligible fee categories and payment timing must be agreed in writing before assignments. There is no automatic nationwide percentage. Statutory notarial-act fees, tips, taxes and pass-through costs are excluded from our referral-fee base.

Can new notaries apply?

Applicants with a current commission can submit their details for review. Approval depends on verified authority and the requirements of the services requested. Applying does not automatically qualify a provider for loan signings or remote online notarizations.

Can I apply outside a listed city?

Yes. The state directory shows recruitment regions, not a complete list of service cities. Enter your actual cities and ZIP codes in the application. A nearby city or a state line does not extend your legal authority.

Are leads available in my area today?

Notary Relay is establishing provider coverage. We do not publish a verified nationwide inventory of available assignments. An application is an expression of interest; it does not guarantee a lead or an approval date.

How do payments work?

The customer pays the independent provider the agreed appointment charges. The existing Square link is for provider referral invoices only. A completion report or payment reference does not automatically verify payment.
