NOTARY RELAY ANSWERS

Notary questions,
clearly answered.

Understand the request process before sharing your appointment details. Notary Relay is a referral network; independent providers perform the notarizations.

How do I find a mobile notary near me?

Start with your appointment ZIP code and city, then choose the service you need. Notary Relay accepts requests nationwide, but a provider must confirm local coverage and availability before you rely on an appointment.

Can I book a same-day or weekend notary?

You can request your preferred date, local time zone and a backup window. Same-day, evening and weekend availability is not guaranteed. If your deadline is urgent, keep seeking a confirmed option until a provider accepts.

Who receives my request?

Notary Relay receives your form for review. Relevant appointment and contact details may be shared with a proposed independent provider for the requested service. Read our privacy policy before submitting.

Do I pay Notary Relay to book?

There is no payment to submit a customer request. You agree an itemized appointment price with the independent provider and pay that provider. The Square payment link on this site is for provider referral invoices.

What happens if no provider is available?

A request remains unconfirmed unless an eligible provider accepts. Submitting a form does not reserve a time or ensure a response before your deadline. For urgent needs, continue looking for a confirmed appointment.

Can I request a notary anywhere in the United States?

You can submit a request for any of the 50 states or Washington, D.C. We are building the provider network, so local availability is confirmed individually. A submitted request is not a booked appointment.

How much does a notary appointment cost?

The provider gives you an itemized quote before you book. Notarial-act fees and any permitted travel, printing, or other service charges must follow the applicable rules. There is no charge to submit a request here.

Are appointments guaranteed?

No. A provider must confirm coverage, availability, document suitability, and the price. Do not rely on an unconfirmed request for a time-sensitive deadline.

How are provider credentials checked?

An application is only a self-report. Before a provider can be approved, the network records commission verification, expiration, applicable service eligibility, and accepted provider terms. Ask which credentials have been independently verified for your proposed provider.

Should I upload my document or ID?

No. Do not send identification images, Social Security numbers, medical details, or document contents through these forms. Provide only the document category and appointment details.

Can a notary prepare documents or give legal advice?

Notary service does not include legal advice or choosing a legal document. If you need help deciding what to sign or which notarial certificate is required, contact the document recipient or an appropriately licensed professional.
