How much does a mobile notary cost?
There is no single nationwide price. Ask for an itemized quote separating notarial-act fees from any permitted travel, printing, waiting or other charges.

Separate the fee categories
Ask which portion is the notarial-act fee and which portion covers permitted travel, printing, waiting or other services. State rules can limit charges and require disclosures.
Confirm the actual appointment scope
Document count, signer count, travel distance, appointment time and signing-service requirements can affect the quote. Disclose the scope before agreeing to the total.
Check cancellation and extra-work terms
Ask what happens if a signer is unavailable, documents are not ready or the appointment changes. Have any applicable cancellation or additional-work terms confirmed in writing.
Pay the correct party
Customers pay their agreed appointment charges to the independent provider. This website’s Square link is for provider referral invoices, not customer appointment charges.
