Confirm facility access
Find the visiting hours, arrival instructions, parking process and a coordinator who can assist. Give the notary the facility name; do not submit diagnoses or medical records here.
Prepare the documents
Have documents ready through the appropriate professional or document recipient. Notary service does not include deciding which legal document the signer needs.
Plan identity and witnesses
Ask the provider which identification is acceptable and whether independent witnesses are needed. Do not assume facility employees can serve as witnesses.
Keep completion expectations realistic
The notary must assess the applicable requirements and the signer’s ability to participate willingly. A booked visit does not guarantee that the notarization can be completed.
