Notary directory vs. referral network: what are you paying for?
A directory advertises your business so customers can contact you. A referral network collects service requests and connects them with providers under separate terms.

Directory advertising: your public business presence
A paid listing displays your business information, coverage and contact links. A customer may visit your website, call or email you. You handle the inquiry, quote and appointment directly. A listing does not guarantee traffic, completed jobs or earnings.
Network referrals: requests collected by the website
In our free-to-join referral network, a customer submits a request through our website. Suitable approved providers may receive an opportunity and decide whether to accept it. Written referral terms govern the agreed percentage and fee categories on completed assigned jobs.
The origin of the inquiry matters
A customer who contacts you through your directory advertisement is a direct directory inquiry. A request separately collected and assigned by the referral service remains a referred lead, even when you also buy advertising. Advertising does not erase existing referral obligations.
Choose the arrangement that fits your business
Choose advertising if you want a public listing with direct contact links. Apply to the free network if you want to be considered for assigned requests. You can do either or both. Paid advertisers receive no automatic network approval or dispatch priority.
Understand the $49 checkout
After listing approval, the Square directory checkout offers a one-time purchase for one 12-month listing or an optional annual subscription. Only the subscription renews automatically at $49 per year until canceled. Confirm listing dates and renewal choices before paying. Do not use the separate referral-invoice payment link for advertising.
Check results using the right measures
A profile view means someone viewed a page. A contact click means someone clicked a website, phone or email link. Neither proves an inquiry or booking. Keep confirmed inquiries and completed appointments separate when deciding whether to renew.
